Durabak 18 can be used to seal stucco and other porous materials. It is also one of the best deck and roof coatings for preventing water intrusion and providing safe foot traffic in otherwise unsafe conditions.
Both Durabak and Durabak 18 were used around the windows, doors, and wall joints in the job shown below. The combination of the two products ensured cost efficiency and longevity in the project. The products were also used to seal the walls, patio decks, the flat roof, and the planter boxes that are built onto the building. Grey Durabak 18 was used for the final wall material on the project. Durabak 18 in white and light grey were used for all the decks, and black Durabak 18 was used for all of the planter boxes to seal them from the elements.
This project was finished 15 years ago and is still in great condition today.
Sealing outside stucco walls from water intrusion/leaking/penetration:
Durabak 18 can be used to seal stucco and other porous building walls. It is also one of the best deck and roof coatings to stop or prevent water intrusion and gives great non-slip safe foot traffic. The building in the picture below is one of four that were built at the same time. This one was on Mercer Island. Per the owner’s request, His building was sealed with Durabak 18 and it is now the only building of the four still standing. The other three buildings rotted from the inside out so badly that they had to be destroyed. All four building were within a 5 mile radius of each other.
This is a planter box on the building pictured above that we sealed with Durabak 18.
The following images show Durabak used on a residential building. Our products are good for many different types of projects!
